“My medium of choice is acrylic paint on wood or canvas. Acrylic paint dries quickly and works with my spontaneous, impulsive style. I work rapidly. Some of my recent paintings portray the emotional state of the subject. We know how quickly emotions can change therefore acrylic suits my style.
Contrast and bold color are as important as the compositional placement of my subjects. I use color to emphasize emotion and organic pattern to create vibration, calm or turbulence. I sometimes change and exaggerate parts of the body that have a significant meaning in a particular painting.”
