We are fortunate in Sussex County to have active art and heritage communities and social programs with SCAHC playing a critical role in supporting their efforts. Many county art organizations are non-profits that rely on financial support administered by the Council. SCAHC does this by securing grants from the New Jersey State Council on the Arts and the New Jersey Historical Commission, and organizing the distribution of the grant funds to the individual art and history organizations.
