The 2017 Sussex County Senior Citizens’ Art Competition. It is open to all artist 60 years and older who are residents of Sussex County. 

All entries will be featured in the exhibition at the SCAHC gallery in Newton from July 29 to September 2. Each work is entered as either professional or non-professional in one of 11 categories. Each category and level will be judged independently with the first place winners in each category qualifying for the New Jersey State Senior Citizens Art Show in September.

In 2016, six Sussex County artists had their work displayed at the state event and five received awards, two of them first-place category awards!

2016 NJ State Senior Citizens Art Show 

First Place Category Winners from Sussex County

Carol Tremper of Newton, won first place in the Professional Digital Art category for Centipedia. 

Rita Mironoff of Sparta, won first place in the Professional Mixed Media category for Always.
